Newborn Photo Tips

I love to photograph lifestyle newborn shoots around your home showcasing this new phase of life. I recommend 10-14 days new. We can use props and things from around your home – blankets, boxes, sofas etc. to make the session extra personal to you. We will do some solo portraits of your newborn and some with the whole family.

I will mark my calendar with your estimated due date and touch base after baby is born to schedule your photoshoot.

DAY OF YOUR PHOTOSHOOT
The day of, it’s good to keep the house warm or have a portable heater nearby. You should feed them (and yourself!) just before the session so they will be nice and calm. We can always have you do a second feeding half way through for some more cute sleeping pictures.

Typically mornings are best for babies so we try to do the photos then. Newborn sessions can last two to three hours long so be sure to have water and snacks on hand.
