Being pregnant is beautiful! Those moments before your little one arrives is a cherished time. I recommend doing your session around 30 – 35 weeks pregnant.
Maxi dresses are great! They focus on your beautiful baby bump while smoothing out other areas. You’re welcomed to bring two outfits. This adds extra variety and more options for photos you’ll love. Solid colors photograph best.
Wearing a tight, fitted maternity dress that shows off all your beautiful curves looks absolutely stunning. Flowy dresses are also popular and feel a little less revealing. Both make stunning photos! Maybe bring one of each.
This is your chance to dress it up! Dresses and skirts really flatter the female body, especially on camera. They bring extra movement to the photos, especially when juxtaposed with nature, like flower fields, oak groves, or the beach.
If you have smaller children, I’ll likely have you sitting or crouching on the ground to interact up-close with them. Cute, shorter cocktail-length dresses photograph beautifully, but if you have little ones in your photos, a floor-length dress or skirt, or perhaps a cute midi-skirt, will make moving around with your kids much easier, and look great on camera, too.
Congrats to Hannah + Adam!! Blue skies and the sweetest couple. So dreamy 😍

I’m excited to be going back to the Cabrillo pavilion next month. Santa Barbara is so charming and romantic.

Here’s a recent album. I’m delivering to my clients tomorrow. I don’t get to show them off as I have them delivered directly to my clients, but I had this one on hand and wanted to show you. For the cover, they chose a stone, distressed leather with a cameo, showcasing, one of their photos and engraving of their name and wedding date. These albums make such a great heirloom and I love seeing their love story unfold in the album.
