Big Sur holds a special place in Erik and Marisa’s hearts. They invited my husband and I to join them for a weekend away with them camping among the beautiful redwood trees and to photograph their Engagement photos there. We quickly said “Yes!” and packed our bags for the mountains.
We arrived late at night and were greeted at the campsite with champagne, hugs and the exciting news that Marisa was pregnant with their firstborn son due in May! Seriously cried, I am so happy for them!!
Erik and Marisa are basically professional campers. They have it down. Not just the camping but the gourmet open fire cooking. They completely spoiled Trav and I. We woke up to yogurt parfaits and Russian Coffee (cheers Erik!) and for dinner they roasted a turkey with potatoes, veggies and stuffing on the side. I never new you could do so much with cast iron!!
It was my first time really experiencing Big Sur camping and I can see why they love it so much. Every where you look is breathtaking and the clean crisp air so rejuvenating.
Erik and Marisa, I am so ridiculously happy for you. So many exciting things happening with your new house, first child and soon to be husband and wife. Congratulations dear friends! We love you!!
Life’s full of adventures… especially for Erik and Marisa!! They just bought their first house, are engaged and expecting their first child! So happy for these two wonderful souls.
Incredible to see the red sands of Pfieffer Beach!
We ate so good this trip. Some of the best stuffing I’ve ever had was made over a bonfire under the beautiful redwoods of Big Sur. Thanks chefs Marisa and Erik!! What amazing hosts you two are! Thank you for spoiling us!
