Justin + Heather // San Luis Obispo Wedding at Spreafico Farms
Justin + Heather first reached out to my husband’s band to see if they could come play music at their wedding and when they heard I specialize in wedding photography we decided to make it a package deal! This was the first time Wheeland Brothers and Wheeland Photography were teaming up for a wedding and it was a blast!
We made an adventure of it! We traveled up to San Louis Obispo a few days early and camped at on the beautiful beaches of Montaña de Oro, and then traveled back to Spreafico Farms for Justin + Heather’s rustic summer wedding.
Justin proposed to Heather at their favorite spot, and now home, Huntington Beach. It was a normal visit to Heather’s parent’s house and they decided to take their dog Cash to dog beach after Heather took Pure Barre. Justin was calm and kept saying just sit down and relax, but Heather couldn’t becuase of the crowds and other dogs. They finally ended up on the boardwalk over looking the ocean on a bench, that read “enjoy the view”. Sitting there they talked about the future, vacations to plan and what is to come. Finally, they rose, Justin hugged Heather and he got down on one knee, nervous with the most beautiful delicate sparkly ring in his hand asked Heather to marry him. Heather of course said yes!! There was no one around for how crowded the beach was, just the two of they, and Cash. Before they left for the beach Heather’s mom kept telling her to put make up on, change out of her sweaty work out clothes and do her hair, but Heather was not about that since it was supposed to be a normal dog beach adventure. So there they were, heather in leggings, a tank top that reads “Let’s wine about it”, a sweaty half up half down hair do and partial make up on with Cash’s ball thrower in hand. It was perfect, because that is them, and that is life.
